I don't know if y'all have heard but I have been pinned!! (anybody else immediately think of the the song from Bye Bye Birdie? No? Just me?, hmmm y'all should really watch the movie, its a classic in our house, ok just with me, B acts like I am burning his retinas whenever he sees it on tv and forget about the soundtrack....that man just can't appreciate a good musical if its right in front of him.)
Anyway, my Abiding post was pinned on Pinterest by good friend the Unsinkable Kristen. As of 2.5 seconds ago it had been re pinned 3 times and liked 2 times. Now part of me feels a little bad b/c I didn't create that graphic nor do I know who did...I did edit the post so that nobody thinks I was taking credit. But what makes me super happy is that I have had a good number of visitors from Pinterest. In fact Pinterest is the number one source driving traffic to this blog as of yesterday! yay!! But now I don't know who all is reading my blog and I am just being honest when I tell you that it creeps me out a little. Used to I would know when I looked at my site traffic if someone I didn't know had visited. Now, no clue.
So all of this rambling to say! Would y'all please leave a comment and say hello? I would love to make some new Internet friends so if you have a blog leave it in the comments and I will come visit you!! This would also make me more comfortable with airing all of my dirt laundry to you in the future!
And just in case you are unfamiliar with the greatness that is Bye Bye Birdie....

One thing that I started a few years ago is to assign a word to focus my thoughts and goals around. Two years ago it was contentment and last year it was thankfulness and the lessons and growth I experienced from being mindful of both of those words as a navigate each day is something that I will never regret. This year I had a really hard time finding my word. I am excited about this year, watching my baby grow, learning to balance my work and family, strengthening my relationships and growing in my faith and I wanted my word to reflect those good and happy things. I thought about Balance, Nourish, and Relish...I read definitions on all of those and while they are things I want to be able to accomplish, I wanted my word to be more than just something I had to do, I wanted it to put all of my goals for this year in a spiritual light. I talked to B and he suggested another great word, Consistency. Oh I so need to be consistent in so many areas of my life. In fact if you look at my goals for work, consistency is a common thread. So I sat down to write the blog post with the word Consistent chosen. Then I looked up on my board and I saw this print out and I knew my word for this year.
Abiding: Enduring, Continuing,
This is what I want for 2012. I want to be an Abiding woman, I want my heart set on the forever things not the temporary things.
***Now that I have been officially been pinned I wanted to be sure that I mentioned that I didn't write or create the above picture. It was emailed to me one of the Mentor Mom's for my Square One Mom's group from church. I no longer have the original email so I am not sure who sent it originally or if she wrote it so I can't really give anyone credit but I also can't take credit for it myself.
